Generic Dutasteride

Common Use:
Diprolene is a potent corticosteroid used to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and allergic reactions. It works by reducing inflammation, redness, and itching. This medication is intended for external use only and should not be applied to the face, groin, or underarms unless directed by a doctor.

Dosage and Direction:
Apply a thin layer of Diprolene to the affected area once or twice daily, as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Avoid using it on large areas of the body or for prolonged periods unless advised. Wash your hands before and after application unless treating the hands.

Precautions:
Do not use Diprolene if you have a skin infection unless it's being treated simultaneously. Long-term use or use on large areas can lead to systemic absorption and side effects. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any chronic health conditions.

Contraindications:
Diprolene should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity to betamethasone or any of the cream’s components. It is also contraindicated in cases of untreated skin infections, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis. Avoid using in children under 12 unless prescribed.

Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects include burning, itching, dryness, or irritation at the application site. Prolonged use may lead to thinning of the skin, stretch marks, or hormonal imbalance. Serious side effects are rare but may include vision problems or signs of high cortisol levels.

Drug Interaction:
Diprolene is not known for significant interactions when used topically. However, caution should be taken when used alongside other corticosteroid medications. Inform your doctor of all drugs and supplements you are taking.

Missed Dose:
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Overdose:
Overuse or accidental ingestion may lead to systemic steroid effects such as hormone imbalance or adrenal suppression. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms may include weight gain, puffiness, or fatigue.

Storage:
Store Diprolene at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep it tightly closed and out of reach of children and pets. Do not freeze or expose to direct sunlight.
