Generic Entresto

Common Use
Entresto is prescribed for patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). It helps relax blood vessels, reduce fluid buildup, and improve the pumping efficiency of the heart. By managing heart failure symptoms, Entresto can help improve quality of life and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.

Dosage and Direction
Dosage is determined by a healthcare provider based on patient condition and response. Entresto is usually taken orally twice daily, with or without food. Swallow tablets whole with water and maintain a consistent dosing schedule. Do not adjust the dose without consulting your doctor.

Precautions
Before using Entresto, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, low blood pressure, or a history of angioedema. Monitor blood pressure and kidney function regularly. Avoid using Entresto with other medications that affect the renin-angiotensin system unless prescribed.

Contraindications
Entresto should not be used in patients allergic to sacubitril, valsartan, or any of its components. It is contraindicated during pregnancy due to potential fetal harm. Avoid use in combination with ACE inhibitors or within 36 hours of an ACE inhibitor dose.

Possible Side Effects
Common side effects include low blood pressure, dizziness, cough, and elevated potassium levels. Serious but rare effects may include angioedema, kidney problems, or fainting. Seek immediate medical attention if severe allergic reactions or swelling of the face, lips, or throat occurs.

Drug Interaction
Entresto may interact with ACE inhibitors, potassium supplements, diuretics, NSAIDs, or other medications affecting blood pressure or kidney function. These interactions can increase the risk of low blood pressure, kidney problems, or hyperkalemia. Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications and supplements.

Missed Dose
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Overdose
Overdose may cause severe low blood pressure, dizziness, or kidney complications. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

Storage
Store Entresto tablets at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date.
